The Rood Research Senior Team
Edith Rood, CEO of Rood Research, Inc., started her health care career many years ago as an abstracter at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, England and, in one way or another, has been involved in health care ever since. Her next position was at J. Walter Thompson in London, tracking the newly emerging - then controversial - link between smoking and lung cancer. One thing led to another and she found herself living in New York and working as a health care analyst for Stewart, Dougall Associates - one of the first market research firms. For the next ten years she retired to raise two daughters (which gave her hands-on experience in pediatrics, first aid, conflict resolution and crisis management). When she rejoined the work force she established the Healthcare Information Center at FIND/SVP, and was appointed Director of the Quick Consulting Service. She then moved to the other end of the research spectrum by doing a stint at P.A. Consulting.
Edith established Rood Research fourteen years ago and still enjoys running this growing company, which specializes in quick turnaround, yet in-depth, primary market research.
